On September 29, 2026 AWS opened Bedrock Managed Agents, powered by OpenAI, in preview: 3 US Regions, no extra preview charge, and an 8-hour compute window in the AgentCore example. AWS runs the conversation. Your compute runs the tools.
On 25 September 2026 AWS published agent skills for End User Messaging and SES. A delivered US Rich RCS text segment lists at $0.01194. A rich card lists at $0.02949. Pick the channel before you pick the model.
RCS for Business shipped 31 March 2026. A US Rich text segment lists at $0.01194 on delivery. A rich card lists at $0.02949. CLI 2.35.12 is the first release with send-rcs-message.
A US 10DLC number lists at $1 a month, a regular campaign at $10, and company vetting at $41.50. SMS is the OTP and the RCS fallback. It is the wrong place to build the rich agent.

Three identities, not one token. The workload role, the shopper or associate, and the downstream API account. A shared admin credential fails the split. AgentCore Identity does not replace your order-system scopes.
Send one workflow, a deny-list, and a pass bar. The fill-in RFP is 14 sections. Below 16 out of 30 readiness, the correct award is do not build.
Score the vendor on 11 lines before a pilot. Below 16 out of 30 on your own readiness, do not let any vendor attach a write. About $791 a month at 50,000 sessions is a platform floor, not proof the vendor is cheap.
Call the REST Management API with X-Auth-Token and a store hash. Webhook destinations must be port 443. One API account should not hold both read-orders and modify-orders for a week-one agent.
